- February 5 2010... Coach Peach Announces his pending retirement.
Legendary Lamar football coach and athletic director Eddy Peach announced his retirement to his players and assistant coaches Friday (2-5-2010). Peach is the only head football coach in the history of LHS, which opened in 1970. From the first full varsity season in 1971 through the end of the 2009 campaign, his record stands at 311-123-6.
