Fellow Vikings, 

As we get ready to turn the page to August it won’t be long until high school football and specifically VIKING FOOTBALL is back in the news! There has been a lot of planning going on to get ready for Coach Peach’s 300^th victory and you all will be a big part of the festivities.  

Please keep in mind The Viking Club could certainly use your membership; please go the football web site www.lamarvikings.com and click on the tab to do so. 

As a reminder the plan is to have the 300^th win recognition ceremony immediately following the first home game after the actual win. So we are planning towards Friday night September 12^th at Cravens as “THE NIGHT”! Coach just needs one win to reach the 300 plateau. We will of course email you once the victory is secured to let you know the definitive date and plans. Attached is a game schedule for your reference.  

We are working hard on “The History of Lamar Vikings Football” book. The photo below is an example of the kind of photos that will be in the book (taken in October 1977). I strongly urge you to order your copy today as we are only printing 500 copies. Please go to www.lamarlegends.com to order.
